Who We Are

 In the past, we've worked with designers and then with the builders. Never again! CDB's two sides (design & construction) work fluidly together, giving us the confidence that problems with a design idea wouldn't surface down the line. 

 Carbon is on top of the latest engineering concepts, innovative materials, and building designs, and always presented me with options I knew they would choose for their own home. 

  Deborah’s approach to design was a true delight to experience. She is everything you want in a person designing your most personal spaces: creative, fun, attentive, warm, and flexible. Now that our home is finished and I consider other design projects, I often think, “what would Deborah do?"

 Every detail mattered and was carefully crafted to consider not just our style, but our family as well.  

CDB  took our vision to heart and delivered on that.  We appreciated the consistent communication and hands-on approach throughout the project.

 We appreciated that Deborah discussed the long-term goals we have for our home, and then created thoughtful designs that would allow for growth and phased work over the years. 

 Safe to say that our experience with Deborah & Matt has ruined other contractors for us! We haven't found anyone else with the eye for design, attention to detail, focus on function, and solid craftsmanship as Carbon Design Build, and we can't imagine working with anyone else. 

 We have worked with CDB on multiple projects and could not be happier with the designs and finished spaces. Deborah was remarkable at reimagining rooms to make the best use of space while capturing our design aesthetic. Then Matt and his team brought the design to life and took extra steps to ensure minimal disruption to our family during construction. We now have new spaces that meet the needs of our family of five.    

  If I had to do another whole-house renovation at the start of a 100-year pandemic with too many unknowns to count, you can bet I’d choose CDB again in a heartbeat. If you want to work with good humans on a deeply personal project, then Deborah and Matt are your people.  

 Working with CDB is seamless. They took every idea I had to the next level, solving problems I didn't even know I'd face and making design suggestions that were not only beautiful, but forward-thinking and functional.
